Hi there, I'm Philip!

I'm looking for a room in SF, and this is my generic, ridiculous web page I made!

Who are you?

I'm Philip. I'm 24, 5'11, white and currently live in the Mission. Here's a picture of me talking:

What do you do?

I started a non-profit that helps communities collaborate and I also work for a black advocacy non-profit in Oakland. I'm mostly a software engineer, but I studied mathematics at university.

What are your hobbies?

Off the top of my head, I'd say bicycling, voting reform, photography and programming. I went to UC Davis for college, so I got really into the whole bicycle thing there. Davis has the most bikes per-capita in the US (2.5) and is just a fantastic place for cycling. I think it's fantastic — and unexpected! — that bicycling is getting more popular in the city and across the world.

Why are you looking for a room?

This is the view from my room right now.

I love my place in the mission, but we're being Owner-Move-In (no fault) evicted. Basically, our place got sold and the person who bought it wants to move in.

What are some of your roommate-type characteristics?

I'm generally pretty quiet, but I also love socializing. I've lived with a variety of different people over the past several years — all women, all men, all gay men — and I think I'm pretty good at adapting to people's needs.

What are you looking for in a roommate?

Respect and understanding are probably the biggest things.

Why did you make this bizzare website?

I've posted roommate-wanted ads on craigslist before and I know how many hundreds of responses people get. Picking a roommate is mostly about how well you think you'd get along. I guess I just wanted to do something weird to get noticed a bit!

Where can I get more information on you?

Well, you could just talk to me! My email is philipn@gmail.com and my phone number is (530) 304-2712. You could also internet stalk me at the following websites:
